Dearest Friends,

SAVE THE DATE

Something wonderful is happening this year! The puppet ministry is turning 30 years old. We have never been this old before and we are all very excited about it. To celebrate what God has done, we are planning a big celebration at my home in Summerville, GA on August 31st. You are all invited! We want you to arrive between 10 and 11 in the morning. We will have coffee, juice, and pastries for you. Then we will all go outside and celebrate under a giant tent. We will have worship music and a lot of people sharing about God’s goodness across so many years. Lunch will be served after the worship service and of course the puppets will make an appearance.

It would mean a lot to us to have you here. I especially want you to come. Please try to make plans to come so that we can all praise God together for His mighty works.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I always tell people that this is the best Christmas ever and it is always true. This past Christmas we had opportunities in many places where most Christians are never allowed. One church kindly invited us to breakfast and a puppet show. I loved their creativity! We even did a show at a business and were amazed at how many people from the community came. The puppet shows gave us an opportunity to share with over 2,000 children, teenagers, and adults in December. Everywhere we went we talked about how when Jesus was born, hope was born. The children responded with amazing enthusiasm, with thank yous and hugs. Some even asked Jesus to be their Savior. Your prayers opened doors that others would have said could never be opened.

I had over 300 people visit me during December for a Jesus birthday party and the many tours that God gave me. In over 30 years of tours, I have never had more than one or two children ask if they could live with me. It was never about the decorations for the children but the feeling of love and peace that God puts in this place. I had a particularly challenging tour and was amazed that 12 children asked if they could live with me.

LEBANON AND SYRIAN REFUGEES

This Friday, Kelsey and I leave for Lebanon so that we can work with Syrian Refugees in the north of the country. We are very thrilled that God would give us this sweet privilege. Please pray for this trip and please watch for email updates about the needs that we will encounter. We will be carrying ten suitcases full of gifts for the children. This is a very expensive trip and if any of you wish to help pay for these extra bags, we would greatly appreciate it. Cover us with prayer!

In Jesus,

Linda and Kelsey
